John Golden Theatre Seating Chart

John Golden Theatre Seating Chart

The John Golden Theatre in NYC seats 802 guests on two levels, including the orchestra’s main floor and the upper mezzanine tier. Ticket pricing depends on proximity to the stage and the seat’s view.

Here’s how the seating chart works:

Orchestra Seating

The orchestra seating is on the main floor of the theater, in front of the stage. This section houses the majority of the theater’s seats, 465 in total. The orchestra area is divided into three sections: the left, middle, and right of the stage. You can purchase orchestra seats in rows A through S, with A being closest to the stage. Rows 123 to 101 are in the middle orchestra section, while 11 to 1 are on the left of the stage, and 2 to 12 are on the right of the stage. The John Golden Theatre does not have elevators, so if you cannot travel upstairs, you should purchase orchestra seats.

Front Mezzanine Seating

The front mezzanine seating area is the first section on the upper balcony. These first three rows offer a clear view of the stage from above. You can purchase seats on the front mezzanine by selecting rows on either the left or right side, which are both relatively centered for good views of the stage. The odd-numbered rows indicate seats on the left side of the stage, while the even-numbered rows provide seating on the right side. Keep this in mind if you prefer certain viewing angles.

Rear Mezzanine Seating

The rear mezzanine seating sits behind the front mezzanine section on the upper balcony. Here, you’ll find eight more rows stretching back and two more sections on the far left and right of each main seating area. The rear mezzanine seating area generally offers cheaper tickets, depending on the showing, since you’re the farthest away from the stage.

Accessible Seating

The John Golden Theatre in NYC offers wheelchair-accessible seating in the orchestra section. The entire orchestra section is accessible via wheelchair, though the theater does not offer wheelchair-accessible restrooms. You may visit the nearby Schoenfeld Theatre for wheelchair-accessible restrooms.

The theater can provide additional accommodations for guests with vision or hearing impairments. You can request infrared assistive listening devices, handheld audio description devices, live captioning devices, and downloadable audio descriptions or captioning on personal mobile devices.

If you have any questions about the venue’s accessibility or would like to make requests, you can call Audience Services at (212) 944-3700 or email [email protected]. Audience services representatives are always available at the Shubert Audience Services kiosk during every performance in case you need assistance using any devices or technology during a showing. While the venue has limited handheld devices, you can ensure availability by reserving a device at least 24 hours prior to your showing.
